Navigating the current job market is tricky. We are constantly told that the unemployment rate is a steady 4.2% – but what I’m seeing is an unprecedented number of roles being made redundant – which is leading to more people vying for jobs. This may be due to organisations restructuring around skills they need to futureproof themselves and divesting themselves of skills they no longer need – leading to a net flatline number: Not really indicating the number of people looking for jobs ….. How to futureproof yourself? Ensure you’re “on game” with your skillset and capabilities – and continual lifelong learning and curiosity will always win out.
